Group Coaching

Group Coaching Agreement

This agreement outlines expectations for participation in group coaching programs.

Participant Information

Non-Medical Services

Group coaching is educational and supportive in nature. It is not medical treatment, mental health therapy, or psychiatric services. Participants are responsible for seeking appropriate professional care for mental health concerns.

Confidentiality Expectations

What Stays Private:

All personal information, stories, and experiences shared by group members remain confidential. What is said in the group stays in the group.

Expectations:

  • Do not share other participants' names or stories outside the group
  • Do not use participant information for personal benefit
  • Respect the privacy and boundaries of all group members
  • Do not record or screenshot group content without permission

Respectful Participation

Group coaching requires respectful engagement from all participants. This means listening actively, speaking honestly, and honoring the experiences and boundaries of others.

Ground Rules:

  • Arrive on time and attend consistently
  • Listen without interrupting others
  • Speak from personal experience, not advice-giving
  • Honor different perspectives and boundaries
  • Refrain from judgment or criticism
  • Keep phones off and avoid distractions
  • Do not monopolize group time

Group Guidelines

Attendance

Consistent attendance is essential for group cohesion. If you must miss a session, notify Mary in advance. Excessive absences may result in removal from the group.

Emotional Safety

The group is a safe container. If someone's behavior becomes disruptive or unsafe, Mary reserves the right to address it or remove them from the group.

No Recording

Group sessions may not be recorded, photographed, or documented in any form without explicit permission from all participants and Mary.

Outside Contact

Relationships between group members are acceptable, but the group itself is not a venue for socializing or conducting personal business outside the coaching context.

No Unsolicited Advice

Group members share experiences, not solutions. Offering unsolicited advice or trying to "fix" other members undermines the group process.

Participant Responsibilities

Take responsibility for your own emotional well-being
Seek professional mental health care if needed
Come to the group with genuine openness and willingness to grow
Pay attention to your own boundaries and communicate them clearly
Do not expect others to solve your problems
Apply coaching insights and frameworks to your own situation
Trust the group process and the facilitator's leadership
Do not hold Mary or the group liable for outcomes in your personal life
